While cleaning in my studio today, I gazed upon this quilt and thought some of you might like to see it for my very first try at posting pics. A dear friend made this quilt years ago for my 50th birthday. We started out as pen pals with the same first and middle names and grew close as sisters. Her cancer had mostly confined her to bed, but she worked on this over the course of a year while lying on her back. Can you imagine? . She fussed because it wasn't up to her previous standards and in fact had her husband mail it for my birthday and then had me return it so she could make some corrections. A treasure to be sure. I miss her.
