Someone on this site actually inspired me to try the "Crumb" blocks, LOL, is that right? I think that is what she called it but I can't remember who. Sorry. Anyway I sashed with a dark color to sort of calm it down and tied rather than quilted. It is a true utility quilt. I would take it on a picnic or to the beach. But not a quilt show. It sure is snuggley warm on these cool fall evenings. A lot of fun to make.

Very nice - I make a lot of tops for Linus using "crumb" blocks. Only once did I go through the efford to make sashing but it truly does add to the quilt.

I love making crumb squares but haven't put them together as a quilt yet because I was wondering how sashing would look. I like the way the sashing looks on yours so NOW I can finish my Crumb quilt. It's pretty addicting, isn't it?

Thanks Trish, I learned about this "crazy" method right here. If you type CRUMB BLOCK TUTORIAL into the search option it will link to a pdf tutorial. It is basically the flip and sew method. super easy. I used decorative stitches that are options on my machine on some of the seams to give it more of a crazy quilt look. Have fun.
