Dad's Scrabble Quilt

2 Attachment(s)
I made this Scrabble quilt for my dad for Christmas. I found the Scrabble fleece for the backing at Joann's this week. I think he's going to love it!

That is just wonderful, and the backing just takes it over the top.
How did you do the letters?

laurafet 12-18-2015 07:44 AM

What a neat idea for a "family" quilt!! Great job!

I bought the scrabble letters by the yard on line an cut each letter into 3 1/4 by 3 inch blocks. I made 9 patch blocks and sewed them together into rows (5 rows, 5 nine patch blocks per row). It has warm and natural batting and the fleece backing. Each block is stitched in the ditch quilting. All done on Pinky!

I bought my letters from equilter.com. Here's the link: http://www.equilter.com/product/1366...-24-x-44-panel

I had to buy three yards to get all the letters I needed (I needed lots of "B"s!). I have quit a few left over but no "B"s! I'm hoping to see if I can make a couple more. The fleece backing I got from my local Joann's. It's not sold on-line. Hope this helps!

Exactly! Me and my husband play it sometimes with son and daughter in law. We love that game, but hubby usually wins. :)
