Hello Neighber,
I have added you to my buddy list. It would be nice to chat, I'm sure we use the same stores.

I agree about the machine. I bought mine about thirty years ago and have never been sorry. She has never had anything done to her but she still purrs like a kitten.lol

rdupuis 11-10-2010 04:07 PM

I guess mine has to be at least 20 years old and like you said never had a problem, I just love it.

OMG, all those little 2" squares ... and not a wave on the quilt! Beautiful work.

sharone 11-10-2010 08:08 PM

Hi Dick

I love your quilts and your choice of colours. I would love to attempt a quilt like yours, where can I find a pattern for the postage stamp quilt?

Lynneander 11-10-2010 08:24 PM

Beautiful quilt ... love the color combinations!

Ida 11-10-2010 08:28 PM

All I can say is WOW.

cctx. 11-10-2010 08:38 PM

Very beautiful! I noticed the metal ruler in the photo, do you use it with your rotary cutter? I have been tempted to use carpenter tools/and metal rulers in the past, but afraid of using them. Just curious on the question.
Thanks!

AnnaK 11-10-2010 08:39 PM

Dick you did a beautiful job. I enjoyed watching your initial fabrics come together in this beautiful way. I made this pattern when I was first into quilting and one of the biggest challenges for me was the fabric selection, which I really struggled with. It is almost impossible to tell what they are going to look like once they're sewn together and in your case, they shine. Congratulations and thanks for sharing.

lalaland 11-10-2010 08:47 PM

You do amazing work.

How long have you been quilting?

No I never use the metal ruler for that , it could ruin my cutter. I have it there to give the room a male feeling.
