I love that

Wow. Right in line with the "weighted" throws that is so popular now. With all the hard work that went into this quilt, you can take a bow. He'll treasure it forever.

Great quilt and story about how you made it. Loved the part about the hammer- I've also been known to use one to persuade unruly seams to behave LOL.

I confess I did not read this entire thread. However, I just finished a quilt for my GGD to take to college in the fall. I used 8” blocks for a twin quilt, with flannel backing and light batting. I like results with one exception. It is heavy. I did consider this when deciding on denim. I cannot imagine the weight of a king.

Wonderful quilt
That is a special quilt. You did an amazing job with the quilting.

Great job!
That is a big, and beautiful quilt. A friend gave me a denim top, and I think I am inspired now to finish it up. I generally do QAYG, so this will be different for me, and I love the pockets, a great touch.

Beautiful!!! Recycled clothing quilts are a favorite!! I can only imagine how heavy the quilt is!!! Kudos to you for manhandling it into submission!!! Hope he lives somewhere cold so he can appreciate it to the fullest extent!!!
