You did a great job. I have denim quilts planned using my Dad's old overalls. This gives me ideas. As far as the drying, I always line dry my quilts when weather permits.

Jan a Pinnock is a brand of sewing machine. I think mine is probably late 1950's, they were made in Elizabeth, South Australia. Mine was purchased very cheaply at an auction, when I was around 20, I am now 46, so we've been together a while. It is quite a solid machine, looks almost commercial. I have the original manual, lots of accessories and though a little battered works well.
The only thing is it is a bit cumbersome to set up on the dining room table, so I tend to use the Singer (very light).

I so need to de-clutter my half of our computer/hobby room so I can set up a permanant sewing station...New Year's resolution perhaps!

Susy, Yes, it is pretty heavy and very warm..I think next time I will make a smaller version.
