I only saw it after Frannie told where it was. I never saw it until then. I would not have it sent back to fix, I doubt the receiver would notice it.
By the way it is gorgeous. |
If you can get it back from the quilter, I say fix it. It is beautiful though.
|
I found it but only because I was really looking for it!

Beautiful quilt - even with the mistake.

Get it back if you can! Beautiful quilt...don't leave it unbalanced like that. Hope the LA hasn't started it yet...or has started at the other end. You've put too much work into it not to fix it, particularly if it's a gift.

It is a beautiful quilt. IMO if it is not going to put in a show to be judged and the lucky couple who are recieving it are not the knowledgable about quilting I think it would be fine. It is really up to you. if you think it is going to bother you, better give the quilter a call.
|
I only saw it because you mentioned it.
Hard call on this one because it blends so well. The quilt is absolutely gorgeous! This has happened to me with one of my own quilts and I didn't fix it. Whenever I see this quilt in October, I always focus on the mistake and it bothers me. You're giving it away as a gift and the mistake is not noticable. Like I said, it's a hard call. |
Your fabric choices on this lovely storm at sea quilt are exquisite. I would definitely try to get the quilt back from the quilter to fix the mistake though. It was pretty obvious to me but I am an experienced quilter, a non-quilter would most likely never notice it. But it would bug me to no end so I would want to fix it.
|
I would have to fix it before paying the large sum to quilt it.

The mistake in the upper right hand corner spoils the design and flow of the rest of the quilt.
