UPDATE..... Spoke to the quilter and she's able to fix it. I feel so much better now.

I have always made mistakes but this one is so obvious that it has to be fixed. If I had left it alone it would have troubled me. I'm not about being perfect. It's just that it looks off balance. It's just so noticeable.

I loved the idea of "marriage not perfect".

The pattern for this is The Garden Patch. Very close to The Storm at Sea pattern. With the difference to one block.

Thank you all for your input.

It will bother you from now on so I would fix it and maybe your quilter can fix it for you. It is so beautiful I would fix it.

**I just read your update and I am thrilled for you that she can fix it. We must see it when it comes back.

There is no perfect quilt. Only God is perfect. I have heard that the Amish will put an imperfection in a quilt so it is not perfect.
You have to decide for yourself what to do. It is a pretty quilt though. I would use it with the mistake in there. :)

Beautiful. Thanks for sharing it with us. I can't see it and I'm looking. I think I saw a place and then missed it. So must be just fine. Quilt on.

Can you share what pattern you used for that quilt? Love it!!

It is still awesome.

I see it but only after u said to look for it. I would've never noticed it on my own! And as the Amish say, no one is perfect. I'd leave it!

I agree with Magnolia. If it bothers you, then get it back and fix it before it's quilted. Otherwise, every time you look at the quilt you will miss it's beauty because you are focussing on that one mistake. It it's something you can live with, then just enjoy the quilt and let other's try to figure out why you sewed that one area differently than the rest of the quilt - make it part of the mystery!

I would not worry about it. If it still bothers you when it comes back, why not applique a butterfly or dragonfly (or some such) over the spot using left over scraps? No one need ever know.

I'm afraid that I would have to ask her to send it back. I wouldn't be happy with a mistake that one can see that easily. It IS GORGEOUS! And know that you must be sick at not having noticed it before. I sure do feel for you.
