I think just the dark binding would be just perfect.

I agree, it could either way. But if it were me, I'd bind it in the darker color.

I agree...both ways would look nice. A 2 1/2 inch border would be a nice frame.

That is so pretty! I would just bind it in one of the dark fabrics unless you want it bigger. If she asks whoever takes her to the hospital to hang onto it when she goes into surgery, it should be ok. Also make a label for the back with her name and yours as the quilter and the month/yr created. I wish her a quick recovery!

Best wishes to your sister on a speedy recovery. I think using the dark blue in the binding would finish it off nicely.

very pretty quilt, what I would do is use the dark for the back and make it larger then fold it over to use as the border. I find that to be the easiest was (for me)
|
yes, no, maybe. lovely little quilt as is but if you want it bigger, go for a border.
|
Very pretty quilt. I like it as it is. By the way, I sent a quilt 4 hours away to my daughter in the hospital and she received it just fine. No problems whatsoever.
|
I would give it a solid border but.... that is just my opinion. Do what feels right to you. (And if you can border without going back to the store for more fabric.)
|
Either way like others said, but a solid border might emphasize the design even more. It is truly a lovely and inspiring quilt. It will uplift your sister's spirit.
