Just looking for opinions... do you think this fabric is too busy to be appealing?
The first one a closeup. Sorry I don't have a better "over-all" one. |

Here are some others from the same collection, to give you a sense of "context".
Kind of is busy, but I like it....maybe as center of a medallion?

And a few more. The group is a future one from Wilmington, aptly named "Harvest Market".
A little busy but I still like them!
I think they would be great as a border. Maybe too busy for use in blocks, unless fussy cut portions of it for the center of a star or something....
Busy yes, but it all depends on how you use them. I could see the first one as a large center block for a wall hanging. It would also make fun and cute placemats.
I like them.
A little busy but I think they would be cute as placemats....potholders...or wallhangings.
I like them all!! I guess it would depend on what your gonna use them for.
I like the two with carts & the first two.
I like them all!
Oh you could really have fun with the first one. You could make it the centerpice or cut it down, centering on subjects (the word Quilts, or the jars, etc) and use those cuts as blocks.
The others are beautiful too. |
LOVE those pumpkins and gourds and the leaves.. mercy my mind is spinning with those.
I love them! I can easily see the top one as a backing to anything in the kitchen as well as potholders, an apron, the top to a kitchen towel that goes over the oven door handle or curtains. Great fabric!
I like them too. I think you would just have to carefully plan where they are used
Very busy!! Would make nice stuff for kitchen though :D
I like all of them - even the busy first one.
I dont care for the first one... too busy for me. but the other ones are nice. They would make a great autumn kitchen grouping.
Just love those fabrics and there is so many things one can do that my head is spinning, use the first as large centre and then cut the others into small blocks and the border for the border. heheheheh placemats table runner gee one could go on as most here have such lovely ideas.
hehehehe just love the bright colors and cutie prints. |
The "busy" first print would make an awesome Stack-n-Whack. Can you image the many different looks it could achieve??? Boggles the mind and the other prints could be used as the borders or sashings and background.
The first two sets are a little busy. A n S&W would work I think. That third set though is pretty. I like it.
I think a little busy but I like them. I think the first one would have to be a center piece toned down with solid color borders.
i think it depends on what pattern you would use with this material
Love the print and instantly went .. OBW perfect for this and then to use as a border on the sides.. I need some!!
Love them all!
Love the colors. Not anything I'd buy, but that's just my taste. I can see lots of pretty quilts made with it, for sure. The busy one is nice, but will definitely need "calming" down in a big way!
I think the first fabric is a little helter skelter but I like the complimentary pieces. I doubt I would buy the first one but love the panel one and would definitely buy the others.
marvelous fabric for stack n whack or 4 patch posie patterns or OBW. Go for it, do not be shy, it will be great.
I think the first one would make an awesome back for a quilt that was made with the other fabrics on the front.
My first thought for the first fabric was Attic Window wall hanging. It would look like you're looking into a "general store" or the like. I like it!
I like them! It's all is how they're used--as some mentioned.
I like the fabrics.
Where did you find them? They would make very nice placemats for the fall, or table runners. |
I like the one with all the pumpkins and I love the cream one with the oak leaves and acorns.
too busy for a background in a block for a quilt.
I would use it in the sashings/borders. |

I had a similar cloth, and what I did with it, it was too busy . It really depends on how you use it.Check out my table runner.
I love them. If you used a solid to sash them, it would be beautiful.

I'm thinking OBW or S&W!
