I don't have kitties anymore since I became allergic to them a long time ago..
I've got a toy poodle.
He sits on my lap when I'm at the computer (yup - here right now, weighing me down lol) and when I crochet he comes over and lays on my outstretched legs... and when I'm sewing in the craft room he wants in on the action too - he has the old computer chair with his doggie pillow on it... not that it fits in my craft room most of the time but he still likes to come in and keep me company...

I miss cats :(

Browntown,
I have the same problem and I've been quilting for 10 years.
I start something and if it doesn't go right, I put it aside until I can do it correctly. I don't want to ruin any fabric, as I buy most of my fabric in my LQS. I have a quilt helper, also. She likes to watch me while I sew. Shw helps me with Sudoku etc., also.
I still want to make about 50% of the quilts that I see. It's just that I don't have enough time to do it all. Eiltocq.

I have a part Maine Coon who rides my quilts as I'm quilting them. Uses my quilt frame as a hammock.

The cat! Her name is Chloe - but I call her PItA because whatever I am doing, she wants to be a part of it.

LOL!

OMG! I LOVE your response. I will tell Kittie she has a new title! (good thing the recipient of the quilt was not alergic!)

I have the same problem. My "inspectors" love to use my quilts on the frame for a hammock. I keep a lint roller handy for cleanups.

Thank you everyone for your wonderful comments! I do have two cats - sisters -- they are almost fully grown now but still fairly small. The inpsector you see in the picture comes running when she hears my machine - and I AM afraid one day she will reach out to grab the moving needle. I can't lock them out the because my sewing "room" is actually 1/2 the family room and has no door - so I just stop why I am doing and move her. the other is more standoffish and could care less - as long as we feed her. I did finish that quilt and the recpient really loved it. Some day I WILL make one for me. Not just yet though.lol
