The library where I started working last month is having a contest for their employees to create "art" to display during their fall reading program which features Edgar Allan Poe. Here's what I came up with. (The eye isn't really as big as it looks...it's a "jewel" that is reflecting in the flash of the camera).

Chrys 07-14-2010 06:34 AM

Oh, that's so cool! I remember reading that back in junior high!

What a winner! Got a question however.....did you print that name with a printer set on extremely large script? It looks so perfect.

lucylockett 07-14-2010 12:44 PM

Well done! Beautifully done!

I did print the names using PrintMaster with the font "Duchess" size 71 for Edgar Allan Poe and font "Antique" size 59 for The Raven. The fabric I have that I can print on is white which looked too stark for the "feel" I was going for so I tea dyed it to make it more compatible with the project. It worked great!

Thanks everyone for you encouraging comments.
