I am always looking for quick, inexpensive ideas for presents or bazaar items. These seem to fit the bill. And I think filled with some homemade cookies, a variety of candies, or jams, or whatever, even napkins would make a really cute gift. So I used 12-inch squares to start with and then added the buttons to the flaps. Thank you for the ideas and the site reference and so many postings. Here is my version. |
love them - great job. But don't forget your quilting friends and put some fat 8 in there with some thread or other goodies!!

They are so fun to make and yours are so cute. I need to start on some Christmas ones.

Your fabric selections are great! I made several out of the 14 inch square of fabric, and they hold a square box of tissues. I am going to make more for a Church group to fill with snacks, books, lotion, etc - to give to our shut-ins as a sunshine gift. I figured they could use them after they are empty to hold odds-and-ends in or on their dressers, or a box of tissues, or to re-gift.
