Cute quilt - really need to try making one of these one day soon. Looks like a "structured" crazy quilt without the embellishments.

Love this quilt! I didn't know those were crumb block either. Now I will have to rethink the bag of stuffing for the dog bed!!

This is a new block to me. and I love it! And, I love the mini blocks within them....thanks for sharing and introducing me to this fun block! Great job!

Mornigstar 03-26-2011 01:41 PM

At my Tues. group one lady made a "crumb" quilt but it has a pattern name of "Sourdough" Seems all crumbs are same size -one and half inches by two and half inches.
She makes blocks with these multi colors then sashes with a
neutral and they are great. Scrappy is pretty.

I love your quilt. Scrap quilts are my favorite type of quilts.

I hate to throw my scraps away, too. It makes me cringe when I go to a quilting class and I see people throwing away big hunks of fabric. I've been told, many times, that it is not polite to dive into the garbage can after them.

I would be diving in. If it is in the trash can, I figure it is fair game!

That's a great quilt. Did you use a pattern for it? One of these days I'm going to cut loose and try something like that. I don't guess there's a "right" or "wrong" way to put the pieces together though, is there?

The right way is what appeals to you! These little crumb blocks are so fun and forgiving...I didn't use a pattern...just started sewing!

Thank you so much everyone for your kind comments! I appreciate them so much...sometimes I get tough on myself and pick out flaws and such and say things like "I could have done this better " or "this color would have been better...", etc. etc.
