The double knit batting is a great idea. One or two layers?

Nice of you to do charity work!

I use one layer of double knit as the batting.

I love to make runners!! They are fast and I can just make it up as I go because it can be any size. I stop when I think it's done. Problem is, I don't use runners!! The way my house is set up, they would be in the way and more trouble then they are worth, so I need to find people to give them to. This cancer charity is a great outlet for me.

The auction is in October and I hope to make even more by then.

Fun runners. I never thought of using double knit fabric.

Very nice table toppers. Hopefully they make plenty for charity.

I use double knit fabrics. They are plentiful at the thrift stores and they don't make the runners too lumpy. I want them flat enough to hold a lit candle if that is what the recipient desires. I find the double knit gives a good weight and body.

I like that idea! Nice job on all of them!
