It's beautiful! You did a great job for only the fourth one. I'm impressed, and I don't even have a clue how those machines work yet! lol

Thanks for posting this for me, that is the one I did. Only thing Judy left out what to do with the corners! That I took off one of my books, transferred it with Golden threads paper, stitched thru it to create the corner designs. This quilt was a real learning experience! 4 different thread colors, 3 different thread types, feathers, design work, Found out the pipes on my frame aren't smooth in spots, so caused the machine to "follow" the rail instead of doing what I wanted it to do, & of course, with the different threads, sure learned a lot about the tension dial! OK ladies, throw me a quilt! I can handle just about anything now!

Cindy..........What a gorgeous job you have done with your freehand feather quilting!! :D I just love your Carpenter's Star Mystery Train quilt top. Boy, you had better be careful as all of us who made this Mystery project might just show up at your house with our quilts in hand, for you to quilt them just the same!! Very nice job.
:D :D :D :D

Sulabug, you know this isn't my train mystery! It's all batik! But...you're all welcome to come by & I'll quilt them for you! I think I'll do the mystery something similar.

Fantastic quilting,, for your 4th quilt you need no more lessons,,

Cindy60545 06-30-2012 04:39 AM

Thanks all for the kudo's! I've had several PM's wanting to know what class this was. If you go to post#55, there are the links for it. For those of you with longarms, I just got & read a book you'd be interested in. Mastering the art of longarm quilting by Gina Perkes. Great tips! Excellent designs! I got it from Amazon for @ $20. It takes you from novice to expert in one book.
