Oh My Cindy, that is gorgeous....I so envy someone that talent and that they have a long arm!!! BTW are you on another board and doing swaps???? Just finished a summer one??

jazzykwilter 06-30-2012 05:23 AM

It looks beautiful and as a newbie on the longarm, I can appreciate the effort your feathers took!

Cindy60545 06-30-2012 05:23 AM

DebbieG, yes, I'm on two other boards. My Quilt Place & Quilter's Club of America & yes, I did just finish a summer charm swap, needlecase exchange here & pincushion swap. In the works is the calendar swap (turkey's), table topper swap & transportation swap. Haven't started the last 2 yet. Plus have 2 classes to prepare for that are coming up soon. I teach at a LQS.

maryb119 06-30-2012 10:43 AM

Beautiful quilting!! I am learning to long arm quilt too. It's not as easy as it looks.

Farm Quilter 06-30-2012 11:43 AM

What's to be gentle about??? You did an awesome job!!!!! I know that when you are quilting your nose is right there seeing all the not-so-perfect wiggles and oops, but when we are looking at the quilt as a whole, we see NONE of them!!! Guess all of us quilters need to remember that! I know I have actually used a magnifying glass to look at my quilting, now I am shaking my head and wondering why!!!

chickadeee55 06-30-2012 11:45 AM

Looking good, just imagine where you can go from here. Wow

Jratcliff 06-30-2012 12:11 PM

You may have already posted the answer, but I'm not good about reading through all the comments, especially 10 pages worth. What class are you taking?
I don't know how in the world you made such perfect circles with FMQ and no templates. I am in awe!

Cindy60545 06-30-2012 12:22 PM

see post #55 for where I did the lesson. I did it all free hand, but I did draw some guidelines on the quilt to get me started. Especially the circles!
Thanks FarmQuilter....I needed that reminder!

Cindy60545 06-30-2012 12:23 PM

Where am I going from here, someone asked? Oh! The possibilities are endless!!

Marycumi 06-30-2012 12:25 PM

Really beautiful, job well done!!

margie77072 06-30-2012 12:35 PM

Cindy, this is only your 4th quilt on LA. Honey, this is awesome! I have this pattern and wondered what to do with it. Now, I have an idea. You are good!

whinnytoo 06-30-2012 12:54 PM

labtechkty 06-30-2012 01:03 PM

Wow!!! there must be a quilting god after all...I'm quilting the same quilt...I have quilted the large blocks and smaller ones and plan on using feathers for my borders but was stuck on how I was going to do the triangles...and the large center star, you have given me inspiration!!! Thank you!! Your work is totally awesome and I love the colors...

matraina 06-30-2012 02:13 PM

You did a great job. I have only quilted 3 quilts on mine and none were even close to this level. I only have about 15 tops to go. I doubt I will be this good after I do all those. Beautiful work.

Bobbielinks 06-30-2012 05:54 PM

psailer 06-30-2012 09:30 PM

this is fantastic work... i just bought a quilt frame and machine havent even set it up yet.. i got a huskavarna viking am anxious to use it but lots of pieces to built and lots of dvd instructions to go thru... what class did you take i have never quilted.

Cindy60545 07-01-2012 12:33 AM

psailer, see post #55 for the link. Good luck with yours, it's so much fun to "molest" your quilts on a frame! Once you get it loaded & ready to go, it's just a huge canvas to paint on! Only we use thread!

dilyn 07-01-2012 02:33 AM

No need to be gentle! You did an outstanding job!

Quilt27 07-01-2012 03:47 PM

Beautiful quilt! Love the colors.

Nathan's Mimi 07-04-2012 09:34 AM

Just got back from vacation-checking out the QB and saw your beautiful pictures of your quilting! My question is this- what on line quilting class did you take to show you this? I would be very interested in knowing as I have a long arm I purchased recently and would like to develop my skills from these type of lessons. Thanks in advance for an answer.
