First Art quilt

A friend told me I should try quilt art so this is my first try
The blue moon and egret are appliqué and fabric paint. The village is drawn in colored pencil and sparkle paints. Is this a pattern or did you create it yourself? I love the village on the mountain. I don't think you could have gotten that look with applique or paper piecing. It is perfect.
