I love it. Log cabin is one of my all time favorite blocks, so versatile.

Love the color combination! I agree, making it with the 1" strips takes a lot longer. I'm in the quilting stage of one now that presently measures about 85" X 108" without border or binding and I'll be SO glad when it's done! SOON! lol

I love your beautiful quilt. Job well done. I would tell DH to take you on a fabric buying trip and if he cuts the strips you will make the quilt. He may decide he does not want the quilt so much after all.

Thanks! My mom laughs at my stash because she says it looks like I went to one collection in our quilt store and bought it out. Not quite that bad, but I have always loved the dark reds, browns, tans, golds, greens, and creams - they remind me of the colors of the earth where I live after a rain and make me happy. Here are a few quilts I have made where my stash comes from...

This is my current project - I'm about 75% finished with the hand quilting.

A little runner I made for our 101 year old piano. I don't like this quilt as the pattern book was completely wrong and I ended up buying fabric for it twice. The quality is just not good and my old machine wasn't working right so I just plugged through to get it finished.

It is so pretty. I love Log Cabin quilts. Never saw one that I didn't like.

I actually found it a lot easier to piece the blocks than any other quilt I've made because there are no seams to match up as you make it. Once you start putting the blocks together, there are seams to match, but it isn't bad. I also liked not working with triangles for a change - rectangles are so much easier!
