valleyquilter 08-19-2012 05:15 PM

Oh, by the way, If you still do not like it after a few weeks send it to me. I will love it and cuddle up with it when my knee needs a rest.

I think it looks great. You must not be so hard on your quilting. Of course I love the quilt inspector too.

pollyjvan9 08-20-2012 06:53 AM

haven't tried that yet, think I will probably stick to the simpler fillers.

We are always our own worst critics. Looks good from here! Just don't point out mistakes, and noone else will notice.

cathyvv 08-22-2012 05:50 PM

Looks great to me!

Homemother 08-23-2012 06:05 AM

Wow. Looks great in the pictures! Your quilt inspector agrees - you did a fabulous job!!!

Wanabee Quiltin 08-23-2012 06:12 AM

I don't know what "McTavishing" means. I do like your quilt and I personally think the quilting looks good. In fact, your quilt is quite pretty.

jnagy1206 08-23-2012 06:32 AM

I don't see what you see. We are all our worst critic. I think it is wonderful and I really like it.

fred singer 08-23-2012 07:41 AM

fantastic looking quilt ,and your quilt inspector even agrees

Skittl1321 08-23-2012 07:57 AM

Looks great to me! When I watched Karen McTavish's video, she really stressed to use matching threads, that helps show the quilting, not the stitches. But again- I think yours looks very nice.

sue1964 08-23-2012 08:00 AM

I would be very happy if I can do what you don't like an you quilt. I cant even draw on paper let olone a quilt. but I still try. Love your quilt.

terri bb 08-23-2012 08:02 AM

Jammin' Jane 11-09-2012 03:06 PM

drgranny 11-10-2012 12:26 PM

It looks great!! I do pantos pretty good too but I don't think I will ever be ready to quilt block designs. I hate to say how long I have been practicing!!!!

jcrow 11-10-2012 02:40 PM

Your quilt is beautiful! I love the pattern of the quilt (stars) and all the gorgeous fabrics. Now, I'm going to sound really dumb, especially since there are pictures involved, but what is McTavishing? I saw the quilting and I don't machine quilt, but it looked like you outlined your stars and then did curved stitching in between the stars. Is the stitching between the stars the McTavishing????? I have heard people talk about this, but have never asked before what it meant. So, please, someone tell me. Thank you.

BrendaK 11-10-2012 03:16 PM

I don't know what McTavishing is but..............girl if you think that this is bad...........I can't wait to see what you think is good. I love this. It looks great to me. I guess it's good that I don't know what McTavishing is because I feel that you did a super job on this. If you can't stand it I would be more than happy to send you my address. That poor unhappy quilt would find a place of honor in my little abode. BrendaK

Stitchnripper 11-10-2012 03:35 PM

What do you mean by awful? It looks wonderful to me.

Becky Crafts 11-11-2012 06:09 AM

I think the quilt looks wonderful!! I wish I could do something as special as that on my quilts. I've been getting a little bolder as I go, but nowhere near as gorgeous as yours!! Love everything about that quilt!! It's awesome!!

JenDale 11-11-2012 06:54 AM

Well I think it is great, and I just love the fabrics you have used.

texaspam 11-11-2012 07:34 AM

cowgirlquilter 11-11-2012 07:41 AM

I have no idea what "McTavishing" is, but your quilt is beautiful and amazing. How can you say it turned out awful? That's plain crazy!

Michelekolt 11-11-2012 08:46 AM
