Thanks for this idea. I have been collecting frog fabric and this would be a great way to use the flannels.

This is a great idea. I bought a bunch of fleece for two quilts and than decided not to use them on the ones I had made I think I am going to do this method since I also have flannel hanging around in my closet.

My choice for warmth is wool. I spent a Minnesota winter in a trailer (not as ritzy as a mobile home) with only a flannel sheet and a vintage wool-batted cotton-covered comforter and was never cold. The next winter was in California, and that wool comforter was still perfect, not too warm, never sweat-inducing like polyester can be. Now I also love my wool-filled pillows; hypoallergenic, winter-warm and summer-cool, will last for many, many years.

Great way to do it. I like it better then tying the fleece.
