Looks great for a first time FM quilt top! Don't be too hard on yourself and it is grand to have made it for yourself to keep and remember the first experience.

You made a beautiful quilt. Love the way the center design spills over into the inner border. Great colors. You were very brave doing that big quilt on your machine and it turned out wonderfully. People insist they do it without difficulty and I'm sure many do but I thought I was going to ruin my machine trying that!

I think you did a great job. If I could give a word of advice, I used to have my machine on a frame and it intimidated me so I took it off (I know this does not apply to everyone) My dh cut a hole into a large desk and now the sky is the limit to what I will try. But I have found out that when it comes to doing a large quilt the best thing to use is a free motion foot even for doing stitch in the ditch or free motion. This way you are not distorting the fabric as much, just start in the center and work your way out. I have done about a dozen quilts this way and have had them all come out flat and laying nice. So please do not let this be your only one, hang in there and I hope you find the joy of quilting like I have.

Beautiful. I wouldn't even attempt to FMQ on my home machine. You're so brave. Congrats.
