That's sad....I've purchased the pattern and didn't realize it was appliqué. I stink at appliqué. I'd love to know how to make them without having to appliqué.

It appears to have been taken down. Somebody mentioned possible copyright laws but actually her pattern was totally different from the pattern that is being sold. If it was removed for that reason, it was totally unfair. I purchased the pattern by Poorhouse Quilt Designs and I also made the one following the post by Dottie D. and they are not even similar! One uses a pieced method and the other is applique. One requires Bosal or foam stabilizer and the other uses batting. I see tutorials on here for making bowl cozies, yet there is also a commercial pattern for sale. Not to mention Sock Snow People tutes and commercial patterns for them. I think Dottie had every right to her post but evidently someone else disagreed and removed it. Just MHO.
Thank you so much for your kind reply. I personally asked for my post to be removed by the Moderator as I thought it was the best thing to do. I have since purchased the pattern from the U.S. and am just cutting out the fabric. Yes, my interpretation of the pattern is nothing like the purchased pattern and I had worked it out by looking at images of the wreath and the size of someone's hands holding it. I must admit I was hurt and it was certainly not my intension to break any copyright issues. Your comments here are gratefully accepted and thank you. |
What a beautiful Job you did :)

I did it by cutting 5 in sq in red, sashing with 3/4 inch in beige and backing in grey, used the birthing method, the animal head on the table is a Mayan beaded figure brought back from Mexico.
