A forty year old trunk revels some treasures
3 Attachment(s)
My BIL is moving to assisted living at age 86. He is going through his things. These quilts were in a trunk that he has not opened in over 40 years. He gave them to me to see if they coud be saved. These have only minor issues-need to be cleaned. Thought I would share and request your help In block id. Thanks !!

Beautiful quilts!

I have consulted my copy of the book The Quilter's Album of Patchwork Patterns compiled by Jinny Beyer.
The first quilt is a Sailor's Joy Patch. The third quilt is called a Philadelphia Patch. I'm still workin' on the second quilt ;-)) |

Lovely find. The same thing happened to me. My husbands aunt gave us an antique trunk unopened and it was full of lovely old quilts that his great aunts had made. Mostly scrappy but beautiful.
