Frank Lloyd Wright quilt
1 Attachment(s)
Hi! This was a nightmare, but it worked out oh so straight.
Top and bottom rows are priaire glass squared, a freebie on the windham fabrics website and the trees of life are from Jackie Robinson's book "Quilts in the Tradition of Frank Lloyd Wright." Fabrics by kaufman's Van Gogh line. Thanks for being here :) it's one of my finishing traditions, to post a picture here :) aileen |

That is stunning in every way. I remember studying FLW architecture in a class in college. You translated the style into your quilt very well. It is truly a show piece.

Beautiful quilt and colors. You did a great job combining patterns.

Beautiful! You really captured the feeling in Frank Lloyd Wright's windows.
What a beauty! I think you need to enter it in a show or two. Very striking!
beautiful quilt
Just gorgeous well worth all that work!
Beautiful!
Absolutely the most beautiful Wright quilt I have seen yet! I want to make one also but every time I read a write up from someone who has made one, they say it is a bugger to do and drove them crazy. Of course, since I am already a bit crazy maybe it won't make any difference. Still, I love your quilt and how you put those top and bottom rows on. That really set this in a league of its own. Wow!
It's beautiful.
Wow! Such a beauty! Well done~
WOW, it's stunning, I love it.
OK... So into which major quilt show are you entering this work of art?
Prairie Glass Squared has been on my "someday" list for a few years now. http://www.windhamfabrics.com/images...ss_squared.pdf
By combining the 2 quilt designs and using those beautiful nature colors, your quilt is splendid! |
Thank You for sharing with us. I does look to be a challenge. But it is really awesome.

I love it! I made a FLW quilt that hangs in my office and I always wanted to make another. You may have inspired me to do so!
