Awesome! I love the repro's. They remind me of my grandmother's quilts!

Beautiful! There's a lady on here: Linda Poole who has many doing "I'm Making a quilt for Me". Please share this with her. What is this pattern called? I love it! Dawn Payne

Okay- I was finally pressured into digging out the pattern. It is on the front cover of Better H&G QUILTING magazine, Feb 2007 edition. Called Fresh Traditions, done in blue and feedsack.

Mine, because I never do anything quite as it's written, is a little larger- I think my print squares are 4" finished, which makes the squares 8" finished.

I have seen an old old quilt done by my great grandma and used to shreds by my cousins, in this pattern though. I think it is a pretty simple variation. My GGG's had all of the siggy blocks going the same direction though, instead of in a circle/diamond pattern. It's just how you arrange the blocks.

I could have spent time with casual friends, but making this for myself was far less sad, and far more meaningful. I don't mind being alone, though I missed my family. And doing something that feeds your soul is so much better than being the fifth wheel at another family's party.
