Gumdrops anyone?
 

Here is my "Gumdrops" quilt i just finished piecing.....just another "boring" nine patch as one lady on the Board said....lol but really don`t find them boring....i love to play with colors....it is based on the pattern called gumdrops in the "Sew Scrappy" volume two Jan. 2011 mag ...of course i did it my way....it was a lap quilt and mine turned out 88"x88"....i think it looks fresh and springy....hope in didn`t bore you...ha ha ha!!besides i am a slow piecer..can`t do something too complicated .....lol....thank you for looking! This one will probably end up on my bed....will see......

Terrific, not bored in the slightest. The colors are very springy and will look great on your bed, I'm sure. Very pretty.

This is a Happy Quilt!

Me, three! I love to make them more than any other pattern. At quilt shows, I gravitate to them even when there are more elaborate quilts on display. You just can't beat a "boring 9-Patch"! Vive la boring! LOL! And your gumdrops look good enough to eat! I love it!

I like it, I like it, I like it! I like the placement of the 4 white squares in each block. It is a wonderful quilt.

If you are happy with it (it sounds like you are) then that is all that matters. Whom ever is just jealous that she didn't do it first. Sew in peace! You did a great job with it and I'm gonna copy it (if you don't mind!).

I love how you controlled the scrappiness with blocks that are all tones of the same color. Beautiful work. 9-patch is a classic.

yes i do love scrappies but always need to make it somewhat organized lol

I love it and don't know why anyone would think a 9 patch is boring. You can do so much with them. I think they make beautiful quilts and yours sure is. I love the bright colors. nothing boring about this one.
