Help me decide!
 

I've been working on this quilt for several weeks trying to make it work for me. I am now down to the light colored fabric. Which do you like best, the beige fabric or the beige with the small green leaves?

I am open to any input/suggestions on anything else as this is my first 'freehand' quilt (not a kit)!

I like the beige with the small green leaves.

My eye was immediately drawn to the beige with the small leaves. Pretty.

I like it best without the leaves. The one with the leaves seem to hide the star pattern to me. The one without the leaves lets the star pop. IMO

Ditto on the small green leaves. It is going to be very, very pretty.

and I notice you've changed the black little squares.....so much better than before!!!!

I really perfer the small green leaves.

Someone who is wrapped up in themselves makes a small bundle.

I vote for the plain beige. The green leaves make the pattern hard to see.

I like the tan with the leaves... I love how everyone "sees" things differently, and all the help we all really do get from here, even when the votes are close...

I vote for the plain beige, no leaves, can see the star pattern easier. It is very pretty.

I too agree! The little green leaves, by the way, I really love the little strip of red that I see!

I like the beiige with the green leaves. It gives the quilt another diminsion.

I like the little green leaves, too, but how about them with the black star and the solid beige with the floral star blocks.

So, with all of the voting, are you totally confused now? Right back to where you started - plain or w/green leaves! I think it's pretty evenly divided. I vote for the green leaves too.

Mine, too.....really adds texture to the quilt.

Vote for the leaves here - but - watch the direction of the stripes also.

It is a matter of preference, but I like one with the green leaves. It makes the quilt seem quieter, which is strange for me since I usually like the pattern to pop out.

I think they are both lovely and that it depends on what look you're going for. The one with small green leaves seems to give a softer look to me and the plain makes the other fabrics much more visible. So as always, it's your quilt, so you get to choose which looks best. It will be beautiful no matter which you decide on.

I agree it is your quilt use the one that you like best. I think the plain on makes the pattern pop the best. the green leaves take you away from the pattern.

I prefer the beige without the leaves

My husband and I both like the plain beige blocks. It gives a place for your eyes to rest.

Asbsolutely the one with the small leaves -- adds a little bit more dimension to your quilt...which is looking good, by the way!!

Thanks for all the responses! I am still torn, though. To me, the beige is just too startling to my eyes. I like the green leaves, but it almost makes it too busy. I am still learning! I may move the beige to the end of the yellow stars so that star stands out more! ;)
