Thanks Katrine!! I was so impressed with your beautiful pink one I just wanted to try it!!! I started with a few scraps, made about 6, liked the way they looked then kept going!!! Looked in my boxes and found the lavender fabric and voila!!!! Just wish my FMQ was up to your standard!!!! Thanks for the inspiration!!

Not sure yet!!! My large quilts I send to a friend with a Long Arm business!! I really need to practice my FMQ before I do anything on this!!! I was only playing with fabrics really to try out the method!! The 'quilt' sort of evolved!!!

Absolutely not! Try it!! Try making them larger ie background squares 4 1/2" and pinwheel squares 3 1/2". The only 'tricky' bit is sewing the final seam as you have multi layers of fabric, but with care your machine will cope!!

Dollysquiltingmom 04-16-2011 11:42 AM

So pretty!!! Great job!!

joyplace 04-16-2011 12:01 PM

No, these not hard at hall. I made one using Halloween theme for the pinwheels. W/W for the background and orange for the sashing. Just have to quilt. Anyone with an idea.......MOre of the Halloween theme for the backing. All fabric from the S/A, and so pleased with the finished top.

I NEED to know ------- will these little cuties stand up to machine washing/drying or will they just collapse, needing reset and ironing? The aftercare of a sweet quilt like this is IMPORTANT. Does anyone know???

AVQuilter 04-16-2011 03:27 PM
