With great encouragement from Izy and Katrine I thought I would play around with some fabrics in my stash!! Hey presto!! I think I got the idea and just kept going!!!!!! I am REALLY hooked on this now!!!! Thanks Izy and Katrine!!!!! I had lots of 2 1/2" squares already cut then cut backing squares 3 1/4" (bit of trial and error!) The lavender sashings are 1 1/2" and the cream is 2 1/2". I intend to bind it in lavender. It went together so quickly!
ooops! Posted sideways!! |

Oh my! I'm working on a baby quilt with 3-D pinwheels! I got the idea from another quilt that was posted. All I lack is adding the borders. I used the tutorial on this site. Yours are so pretty and I love the sashing! I'll post mine when I get my borders on.

I have a question on the 3-D Pinwheels... Do they just flop over after washed.. Or stay nice as in the picture? I've been admiring them for some time. Thanks :)

Hey Hilary, that's looking good! I like the bigger backgrounds, gives you more room to do some fancy fmq in! They are fun to make, I am piecing another baby one at the moment in between other things. And it's a great way to use up some small bits of fabric.

|
I absolutely love the colors. I just am amazed at the different kinds of quilts you ladies make. I just love to look at your work.
