What a great way to use what you have...I will be on the lookout for doors now...my sewing space is due for an update and I love the room the tables have available for working...thank you for the visual on how to drop the machine to a level work space...

Welcome to the board. You did a good job & creative as well.

Great idea! What do they say; Necessity is the mother of invention??? Thanks for sharing

Awesome sewing tables!

If it works there isn't a thing wrong with it. I have a school work shop table for my cutting table ,doesn't look like a million$$$'s but it does what I need and that what counts.

Wonderful solution! And I recognize those tiles from my kitchen too.
Where I used to work we used two drawer filing cabinets as the base to our work tables for shipping and engineering copier areas. Not sure if the top was a door or butcher block counter top. Raised up the shipping one with cement blocks so it was a better working height - which I have done with my cutting table as well. |
Nicely done! I too have plans to upcycle an old door. :)

Hey, we are ALL ABOUT repurposing around this board.... you would not believe what people have come up with! I think you did a fabulous job. (Also, I think your screen name is hysterical.)
|
Great job, and great idea. Thank you for sharing; some of us don't have the creativity or the skill to do that. I like your sewing machine covers too.
|
Awesome job!!! Shame you don't live nearby... I would put you to work. :-)
