My husband now services sewing machines for the past few years and knows so much about quilting (from me)
and now finds himself teaching some women and one gent how to properly use their machines and such.
Ain't nothing wrong with a man quilting!!! Keep going!

Great sewing tables and alot of us do not have a lot of money and what we have we like to spendon our fabric addiction. I just got a used computer table because it folds up and I don't have space to have a perm place to work, we do what we have to and that is a great solution. If I ever get more space, I will use your suggestions to make a bigger quilting/sewing space. Thanks for the hints.

Great idea for the table!! I have one suggestion for you - get a good chair. It makes a world of difference on how long you can last sewing. I bought some cheap banquet tables for my sewing area, but I think the floor tiles would really help! Thanks for the post.

LOVE IT!! But if you are still having issues with your arms, invest in an adjustable chair also. It will make a world of difference.

Nothing wrong with being creative. I use an old executive size desk for my machine. It's huge. I just haven't decided if I want to cut a hole in the top for the machine. The center drawer slides out and makes the machine level with the top of the desk. Works great.

I think you did great! Even if a person has a lot of money, doesn't mean that they need to be wasteful with it.

Smart use of materials and money! Just awesome!
