I thought that the curve where the pieces are joined would be difficult, but it was very easy. The hard part is making sure that each vertical strip is perfectly straight. Because of the way the pieces are joined to make the strips, it is easy to get a curve going. I had to take more than one strip apart to solve that problem.

I must say, I didn't see a single mosquito there. I have blond hair and fair skin and they usually flock to me like there is a new diner in town. We did a zip line adventure, so I think if there were mosquitoes there they would have found me then.

It is called Glacier for obvious reasons and the design is by Lisa Moore. I finally made it this spring. My heart goes out to you at the lose of you daughter. We are just not meant to bury our children. To resume your life with joy, and to accept God's blessing is a tribute to the love you shared.

I am also looking to the new year to get creative again. We also lost a family member and I have had some health issues and while I wasn't paying attention the Sewing Room Gremlins took up residence in my sewing room and have made a terrible mess. I know there is a cutting table under there somewhere......

Yes, I believe you are correct. I just went to the website and they still have the kit for sale. The cruise was booked through Sew Many Places and Eleanor Burns was on board teaching and entertaining, literally. They made sure we had a map to every quilt shop at every port and boy did I take advantage. There were so many beautiful fabrics and kits the you just don't find here in Southern Illinois.

So much fabric, so little time....

I believe it is Rushin Taylor, but I am sure we are thinking of the same shop. I just visited the web sight and it says they have moved. The needed to. That shop was tiny!

You are absolutely right about the fabric. I live about an hour from Hancock's of Paducah and they have a HUGH selection of batiks. I am usually pretty good about putting fabrics together, but would not have tried with this one. It really has to be just right.
