In 2008 I went on a quilting cruise to Alaska and found many beautiful fabrics and kits in the ports-of-call along the way. This one is from a tiny quilt shop in Skagway. It is called Glacier for obvious reasons and the design is by Lisa Moore. I finally made it this spring. It is hard to tell from the photos, but there are about 400 heat set crystals to make it catch the light like a real glacier. Hope you like it.

Beautiful quilt, lots of tedious putting on all of those crystals. But what a beautiful reminder of the trip.

I adore it! I have one started but lost interest or something side-tracked me. I like the idea of the crystals. I might have to go finish this one. Good job on yours.

That is my Bella. She is a blue dapple, long hair mini doxie. She has a partner in crime, another mini doxie named Chloe.

No, it won't be framed. It is 50 x 70 and hanging over my bed. The binding is turned completely to be back and hand stitched so that it won't show on the front.

Very different! Love it!

I'd never tire of looking at something so unique and pretty as that. It also brought to my mind the Northern Lights, even tho' sometimes the colors can be more vivid, I like when they are more pale.

Thanks for sharing. Very beautiful.
