I prefer the scond block , but thats just me.

I like the layout you have now (once the last block is finished). Any borders will be great. Your colors are perfect and I love the darker raspberry color.

I will still have to make another block no matter which one I chose. This 1 would is missing the gray center block. On the borders I would probably start out small then get bigger.
This is to much work for my brain. GGG :) |
The last picture your posted was my favorite. As for the borders I'd start with the light and go dark and leave the gray out.

Light to dark. No gray. Borders.

Your last setting looks great! For borders, I agree, light to dark and leave the grey out.

I like the off set of #2...makes for a very different look.

I like the newer arrangements better because of the symetry, but that's a personal bias. They look as if they're a lot of fun to play around with because you get such different variations. It seems to me if you reach an impasse and don't like arrangements that you can get out of this combination, maybe an alternative would be to use the different block designs in separate quilts, table runners or wall hangings. Among these I adore the mostly white and pink star blocks and would prefer to see them in a setting where they don't have to compete with the other two equally strong blocks. Maybe just put some sashing between them. I'll admit that my version would be a lot more tame, but that's just me.

What if you use the black ones on each corner and one in the middle. Then arrange the others somehow within those.
