#3 looks more like you threw the squares willy-nilly at the wall {giggle}, I like the effect achieved in #1 the best!

iquilttooo 09-25-2011 08:01 AM

#1 --I can see some beautiful medallions quilted in the light blocks. If you aren't going to do something special in the large light areas, then #3 is best--or most interesting.

I like one the best, but #2 is close up. I love the snow ball design a lot.

tappedants 09-25-2011 08:22 AM

3. But they all look great.

I don't care for #3 either...it makes my eyes jiggle.
And I'm wondering if a 3" wide red inner border is gonna be an awfully lot of red when this is finished. Unless that's what you want....

SandraQuilts 09-25-2011 08:29 AM

They are all pretty, but I like the first one for a king size..

Nini61948 09-25-2011 08:42 AM

I like the middle one. The first looks like floor tile to me. The third is too chaotic to my senses. Just sayin'.

grannypat7925 09-25-2011 08:43 AM

#3 appeals to me!

My favorite is number 1, but that's because I can soooo visualize how I would quilt it! It's funny how some people see the fabrics, other people see the design that forms, and other people zoom in the the quilting stitches. I fall into that third category.... :D

SusanW 09-25-2011 09:16 AM

I like them all, but I like 2 or 3 better. Be sure to post the finished quilt.

You have all been very helpful. I have listened to my peers and decided on #1. (By page ten the votes are 81 for #1 , 32 for #2 and 26 for # 3) I am going to some quilting classes in October at Machine Quilters Exposition. I will wait to quilt this quilt until I have learned some new lessons and then apply that info to my quilting. THanks everyone for all your help.

I like all of them. It's just what you like.

Grandma Peg 09-25-2011 11:59 AM

I like the first one. Good luck.

I like #1, Hubster can't decide between #2 or #3. :)

kflan 09-25-2011 12:14 PM

#1, but all look great.

MiaA 09-25-2011 12:18 PM

Definitely #1 :-)

PokerDiva 09-25-2011 12:32 PM

I'm for #1.

ConcreteSher 09-25-2011 12:42 PM

Absolutely #1. It's more cohesive, meaning more of a pattern than just blocks repeated.

quiltingnonie 09-25-2011 01:22 PM

#2 is my fav, but I love bowties! For that sized quilt, I think #1 would be more suiting.
