I have this winter flannel quilt I am making and I can't decide which designs sets off the quilt better. Which one do you like and why? I will be putting on a 3 inch red border first and then a leaf print larger border next. The quilt will be 8 twelve inch blocks across and down. It will fit a Kingsized bed. I plan on backing it with flannel and putting thick poly as batting. If you have any advice about the back or batting let me know. It would be much appreciated.

#1 - I like the circle effect and know you will be able to put a pretty quilting design in the light areas. Very Nice

so funny... I love #1 and #2 is nice but I really don't care for #3. Looks like I am in the minority here...

I like #2 the best. But for a king size quilt, I think I would go with #1 and then do a lovely quilt design in each of the large plain squares.

i've always admired bow ties, so #3 is great. but, for some reason, i like #1 the best.

#1 - There's LOTS of room for a really neat quilting design in those large tan areas.

Dyan 09-24-2011 11:39 AM

quiltgran2 09-24-2011 11:56 AM

No. 1 for a bed sized quilt with some beautiful quilting in the open areas.
