What a great thing to find!
Have a great time with your "new friend". :) |
I just check what my little featherweight's bd was... Sept. 25, 1935. My mother bought it from the Singer dealer for $45 in 1966 for my Christmas gift. I learned to sew on this baby. At one point, it would not hold the tension. My dh worked on it and it's good as new now. Both my dds learned to sew on it and now I use it for teaching and quilting.

You can also try pure charcoal (from the pet store). Place some in a container and set in the case then close the lid. Wait about three days and see if you need to leave it longer.
You are one lucky gal. Enjoy your beauty. Marsye you did it to me again. I was going along reading and then hit your post and laughed so hard I almost p'd MY pants. You find the best pics. |
