That is a silk purse out of a sow's ear. Great job. (I would have sent the fabric back. She must be a REALLY good friend.)

You did a great job. I can't help but think your friend doesn't know how precious a quilter's time is.

I (like most every quilter) have a backlog of quilts to do (some are several years old - hope I don't need more fabric). And like most quilters, give most of my quilts away as gifts. I would love to make a quilt for a friend, but I would not like to be put to the test. That part offends me. But, obviously, you're good with it and with a great sense of humor. You did a great job w/what you were given.

You did a beautiful job and I know some person is going to think it is the most beautiful quilt in the whole wide world to snuggle under and feel warm and safe.

It is not an ugly quilt. It shows how talented a person you are to work with what you were given.

The pattern is fantastic....but I would love new colors more...

I think you did a great job with what you had to work with. I would have said never in a million years, but it turned out really nice. Great job.

I watched Bambi when it first came out. I plead Thumper's mother's instructions, "If ya can't say sumthin' nice, don't say nuthin' at all".

Well I must be weird too because I liked the fabric colors together & what you did with them to make this quilt. My only suggestion would be as someone said to do a light amount of tea dying over the whole thing to make it look a bit aged. If you do that I would sure like to see the result.

You did a wonderful job with what you had to work with
, but personally, I would have returned the fabric to her upon receipt.

each of them on its own is just fine.

And I think I'd have used bigger pieces of the house/vehicle print for the focus.
