The Amish in my area still make those. I have always liked them, but since I made my own board by Sharon Schambers instructions that is on her web site they are the only ones I use. Have one 24"X48" on a 4X8 table and the 18"x24" is in the other room. wouldn't be without them. Hope you like your new old chair.

You beat me to it. Now I am really showing my age. There were a lot of these in use a LONG time ago. I am currently using the ironing board - wooden - that MY grandpa made when he and my grandma were first married. Early 1900's. Easy to change the pad. You just take one off and nail another clean one on.
