I was saving my boy's jeans as they out grew them and wore them out (or got tired of them). Last week I finally was able to take the time and make the quilt. I have never made a jean rag quilt, but I am really happy with how this turned out. It is going to be mine for on the couch. Thanks for looking

I love it! Makes me want to start working on one for me!
Nice! I have one I need to get finished.

What a great way to use the cathedral window pattern! If we have another winter like the last one, I'll be thinking of you on your couch all wrapped up in this cozy quilt.
what a terrific quilt
Love it! So sweet and homey!
And just think, you get a hug from your boys every time you use it. It is awesome.

This is really great. Love the combination of the jeans with the feminine colors of the fabrics. Nice juxtaposition. You sure won't have to worry about being cold this winter !!!!

Thanks for all of your kind responses. This was quite a lot of work and I am glad I got it done....now on to the next one :)
Very nice. If your boys are like mine, they'll claim it when they move out.
Your did a great job. So glad you are keeping it.
IT IS REALLY NEAT! I'm working on one now and it is terrible looking. I found it very to.e consuming with lot of tracing. I doubt I will post it here after seeing yours. Good job.
Yours is wonderful. I have one started and I hope it turns out half as nice as yours. I love all the bright fabrics. Did you use batting, flannel or just add fabric?
Love it! I have also been saving my daughters and sons jeans that do not fit them any more in hopes of doing the same. I will also incorporate my and my husbands jeans. Yours turned out beautiful! What size did you cut your squares?
Very pretty quilt!
Beautiful, I've just started saving jeans from my family but I think it'll take me a while to get enough saved up, this looks so cosy.
I read your post before I looked at the picture, but when I did, I was blown away. That's an awesome quilt!

My circles were cut 6-1/4" (approx. I am not perfect) and my squares were cut 4-1/4" MrsDerf: I agree this was very time consuming. Took much more time than I anticipated. Don't sell yourself short, I am sure yours is great. Just keep plugging away. I hated mine when I started sewing.. but after I washed it now I am really pleased with it.
Great job! And now you have all those memories to wrap around you on a cold winter night!
You did an amazing job! Definitely a keeper!
great use of fabs. nice
Awesome job!
That looks great! I salute you – I started one and abandoned it after a few blocks. I know you will enjoy it.

I love your quilt...have made several and love them all..kept one gave the others to family..they seem to love them more than any others because they will use them like quilts are supposed to be used. The weight is sometimes a problem for me to wrestle with but still love working with denim...good job...
Very nicely done. I love it.
What patience and what joy to be able to use their jeans on your quilt. Beautiful quilt.
