One child down, 3 to go, lol... I started with my 5 year old first. Poor thing is so short, Mommy has to work the foot pedal, lol! She had a blast though!!! I let all the kids pick thier own material... I was cringing the entire time I was helping her, lol!

She's a natural! Keep an eye on that stash, mom.
how wonderful. such a good mommy you are for teaching her such a valuable skill for the future. But on the flip side, what a terrible mommy you are for giving your baby such an addiction. hehe. but at least this one will have good come out of it. she is already on her way to being a wonderful quilter. now just to teach her about fabrics and she will be set for life.
She is doing great, happy little girl.
What a great smile. You can see how happy she is. She did a great job on her first two rows. Pretty fabrics too.

Sweet! I think her seams are better matched than mine :)
My mother learned to sew on a treadle at age 5 (and got sent home from school for "lying" when she said she made the dress she was wearing); she taught me at age 7 with doll clothes; my daughter made a jumper at 5 1/2.
Do you have a sturdy stepstool, like your daughter may have used to reach the sink? Put the foot pedal on that so she can reach it! |
How sweet!!
Love the smile and I think her fabric selection looks pretty good together. She looks so proud of herself.....too cute
What a smile and how neat to start with the young ones. By the way, she is doing pretty darn good too.
She looks so pleased with her accomplishment! Good job! I have that little blue sewing machine I take to classes because it weighs less than a bag of flour.
