Love the variegated threads idea- I would definitely do a black border. And it is a gorgeous quilt! Beautiful work!

I love the colors in the quilt you made, I think a six inch boarder would look great, if it will make the quilt as big as you need it to be. I make the quilt, and then add to the boarders to it until it makes a queen size. You sure do have a lot of pieces in your quilt, and a lot of work. It is so beautiful, so enjoy it.
