That is gorgeous. I love the colors. How in the heck did you get it to stay up on your design wall (unless you pinned it to within an inch of it's life). I've made many quilts with 2 inch and even 1 inch and 1/2 inch even quilt blocks throughout and I know that it make a very, very heavy quilt!!!

It's fantastic!

My decision on the beautiful quilt would depend on use. Misty mum I would use a dark colour because I have no way to stop Fudge or Freya off a quilt. They love them especially with poly wadding.

Your quilt is gorgeous! I've used batik+batik and batik+fabric and can say I've never noticed any difference when quilting(I hire Gammill at LQS).

wow, beautiful choice of colors

That's beautiful, i love the movement. I would opt for a solid back so it doesn't take away from the front. All eyes on the front !!!

Well, the top is done, still need to get backing and quilt it. It is 113" wide and 96" long. Should I stay with the batiks and use batik for the backing? Or use something else? Here it is on my design wall. And here it is on my bed.

Love your quilt. For my own quilts I often use muslin for backing because it is less expensive and I don't mind. If it is for someone else I would definitely use a batik since the top is batik.

Great quilt.

OMG! I love your quilt - both the colors and the design. As I look at all the different sizes of the pieces, I could never do anything like that.
