Your landscape wallhangings are beautiful. I, too watched Nancy Zieman do these on her show, look so simple! Bought the first book of hers and Natalie, but haven't done anything with it yet. You have inspired me to get busy on it! Thanks for sharing your beautiful pix with us!

Oh, you did a beautiful job on these!! I am real interested in trying this and have book marked their videos on You Tube and plan to buy their book. I am in the middle of working on a horse themed quilt and after that is completed will start a memory quilt in memory of my fahter with a music theme to it as he was a musician. I have been collecting fabrics that have a music theme...like music notes etc. Also this past week bought the fabric sheets to print out a few photos of my Dad on some squares for this quilt. Anyway, after I am done with these projects I will try this landscape quilt thing. I really think I would enjoy this. Did you have to buy alot of different fabrics for this, I expect? I just am not sure how you would figure out what you would need....to do one of these. Can you give us a clue as to how you decide on the fabrics you are going to need. Ohhhh, and I forgot I have a Christmas quilt to make for my daughter!! lol

Look for textures for the trees, Anything leaves, grass, hay, woodsey, for ground cover and of course leaves. Create the background trees with silver marker.Look for batiques for the background, water, sky. My next one will be Spring in the Hamptons. As soon as I finish my Bargello.
