The thread I used is "Crushed Grapes", a King Tut thread, which the owner of my LQS disliked a lot and had to tell me straight away, when I showed her the finished quilt. YIKES! First I was shocked and had to sleep over it to digest it, the next day I was fine with my choice again. Taste is nothing to fight about, is it?

How dare she. As the LQS she should be encouraging her customers and if she can't do that she should say nothing.
Just my biased opinion.

Thank you for your very kind and nice comments, makes me love the quilt even more, although I have to part with it on Monday, as it will be a gift for someone very special.

Some of you lovely ladies asked for a drawing. Just today, I received a newsletter from fabric.com as they host a sale. Added was a picture, which shows exactly or at least very close to what I did, so I attach this picture, courtesy to and copyrighted by fabric.com. And no, I'm not getting paid for this kind of advertisement ;-). Hopefully I didn't do anything wrong now according to your copyright laws!
If it doesn't help to visualize, I'll glady try to make a drawing, just let me know.

Name- The first 2 things I thought of when I saw your beautiful quilt was undersea treasures or undersea jewels. The colors remind me of all the beautiful colors under the sea. I hope that helps. Great work!!!!
