Levi quilt I made from old Levis and old skirt of my daughters. First time posting picture here hope I did it right if not sorry.

I really like the black frames around the denim fabric - what a great way to recycle old jeans.
Great denim quilt! love the sashing!
Really nice. beautiful use of old but good fabrics.
The pattern you used looks great with the denim. Job well done.
Really nice! I was recently given a whole lg. Trash bag full of old jeans- this inspires me to do something with them. :)
Great design! The black is awesome. I'll bet it's very heavy!
That's great!
Nicely done! The black does set off the individual squares very well.
I love it. This gives me an idea how to use the smaller boy's pant patches I have cut up. My neighbor has been giving me all their jeans including their 10-yo's pants and they're so small but I keep chopping out sections and saving them. Your layout is great and nicely arranged.
Great looking quilt. Bet it will be super warm and last forever! Great job, and really like the way you organized all the different shades of denim.
I wish that I had saved baby clothes to use for quilts. Too late now. By youngest baby is 47. Not grandkids either. Of course, my stash is loaded with fabric of all colors. It just looks fun to have things made from your children's clothes.
I love the look of this!!!
I love this layout!
What a great job you did on the quilt!! The sashings are a perfect addition to the pattern, and the pattern itself is a great way to use recycled fabric. If I may ask, what did you use for the backing, and batting?
Oh I like that....did you happen to use a pattern as I've seen this layout online but was never able to find the pattern
What a nice design for a denim quilt. I know it will last and last.
Great denim quilt!
framing the fabric really added to it and brought it up a level. great job on this one!!!
Oh gosh, i love the variety of shades you have. Looks more like stained glass than jeans. Very pretty.
Really nice quilt. Looks like a Frank Lloyd Wright design. Nice job with the layout. I just shopped thrift stores for old jeans to make tote bags for foster care children. The material is so soft and pliable but heavy!
Fantastic quilt. Like the stained glass window effect
Great quilt! One is on my to do list!
Great pattern choice! Not typical for a jeans quilt. I really like it :-)
Love your layout. Great job.
Thank you everyone for your nice comments. It was fun making , I got it from a quilting customer from a picture she said it was ok to copy from hers but I did not make just like hers. Just took the Idea and did my own thing. yes it is heavy. I used Hobbes 80/28 black batting and Levi backing. The next time I will get a lighter Levi backing and lighter batting ( Maybe wide flannel for batting that has been washed and dried 2 or 3 times. What do you all think will flannel work or would something else work better?
I love it!! I love the sashing its perfect
Wow..... Who knew old jeans could look so great!
Hugs Caroline |
I like the quilt and recycling. I have been collecting denim clothing for a quilt.
Looks very good and tres modern.
Very nice job!!
What a neat idea, that dark mini-sashing or framing just really makes your quilt a stained -glass wonder. Love it.!
I like it...very nice....
One of the prettiest denim quilts I've seen in a long time. Like a mosaic. Haven't read through all the posts so this may be echoing some one else. Just means we think the same.
Absolutely beautiful! I love everything denim! Kudos!
I too love anything denim. You have done a marvellous job with this, beautiful design, stunning quilt. Well done.
Neat quilt! A fun pattern for denim. :)
Definitely the prettiest jean quilt I've ever seen.
Really nice denim quilt. I find its a lot of fun collecting the jeans to get the denim
Great job. I cut squares for a denim quilt about six years ago and still haven't completed it.
