I have just made 6 Lil Twister lap quilts and then went out and purchased a rotating cutter mat LOL. Spent yesterday sandwiching all the quilts ready for quilting.

Other than using the rotating mat, you can trace around the ruler and then cut it out with scissors. This helped me when I used fabric squares that were not quite 5"X5". Using the rotary cutter, I might have cut into the next block. Hope this helps.....

If you cut one row at a time & sew these new blocks before you cut the next row, you should be ok.

There was a thread on here to make them, and I am in the process, yesterday made and cut apart a 10 inch square for a lap quilt I think. Maybe I'll be brave and post the pics when I finish.
