I love your scrappy setting. Great job and you are getting it done so quickly.
When I work on my hexie quilts I like to get some hexies basted to papers and then sew the units together. I wouldn't be able to just do the basting and not see what kind of design progress was being made. --I scratch my head in wonder at the people who have loads of basted hexies but no design completed--that would get too boring. |
Amazing.....truly!!!! Wow!!

I would like to do something like that, but don't think I would have the patience.

for those who think they don't have the patience. do a one inch to start and make a pot holder. you'll feel great you made something and have something to show others. no one said you had to make quilt. do something small. my first one was a 3/4" gfg that my cat has. she looked good on it and asked for it and now she has it.
when I finish this one, I may do a 1", and use the fiskers punch again. thank you all for the kind words of encouragement. thank you all who contributed to it also. My friend will post pics for me on Tuesday. |
I am very tempted to do this pattern oversized with half hexies. I love it.

thanks for the tip lynnie I love hexies but always put off the challenge pot holders a good idea DUH! why didn't I think of that I guess because I look at all the beautiful bed size hexie quilts and get intimated with all those y seams you just encourage me to at least try a pot holder
