Great quilt, such a simple idea, looks wonderful. Now I know what to do with all those scrappy squares. Good job.

Quilts of Valor gives quilts to in hospital military personnel. Just another way to say "Thank you for your service" to them. Your quilt is so lovely it really will make someone very happy to receive it! Way to go! Oh, and don't stop!

I know one quilter who makes quilts for Habitat for Humanity. She is also a volunteer. She gets to meet the recipient/owner of the new home. This gives her ideas for colors and their other interests. She gives it to the owner right after closing. She also has everyone who works at the project a square to sign. Then she puts a label on the back with the owner's name and month and year the home was established.

Beautiful quilt, and so many wonderful ideas for making many more.:)

Keep it and just enjoy it!! I have donated quilts to causes but I can't afford to do that all the time. It's ok to enjoy your creations!! I know everyone says donate but I say quilting is a gift, not everyone can do it... Enjoy your art!

So far I've been able to gift mine to friends. I have a couple that I hung on my bedroom wall. I made some baby quilts and was going to give those to a hospital but my sister wanted them to give when her grandchildren start having babies. I wouldn't mind gifting to a charity. I just don't have one in mind yet.
Your quilt is lovely by the way. |
I really like your quilt -- neat way the crosses pop out.
When I make a quilt "just because" I usually donate it to charity. I have a dozen "just because" tops ready to finish. |
